Wild tusker found dead in Jhapa

Jhapa, Sept 16: A wild elephant was found dead at farmland in Mechinagar municipality-3, Jhapa this morning.

Locals informed the Division Forest Office after they noticed the dead elephant.

Chief of Division Forest Office, Nuthani Gohiwar Yadav shared that a team from the Division Office has been sent to the incident site.

Reason behind the death of the elephant has yet to be established, he added. According to the data of the Office, 28 wild elephants were found dead in different places of Jhapa district during last 16 years.
