Kathmandu, Oct 31: Members of a literary and cultural delegation from the People's Republic of China currently visiting Nepal have been felicitated.
They were recognized during a cultural program organized here by the Devkota-Lu Xun Academy and the SS Foundation.
The delegation members were honored by the Foundation’s patron, lyricist Shobhit Upreti; the Foundation’s president, senior artist Madandas Shrestha; and the Academy’s vice-chancellor, Matrika Pokharel.
The literary and cultural delegation from the People's Republic of China is led by Zhou Lingfei—the grandson of the world-renowned writer Lu Xun—who also serves as the president of the Lu Xun Cultural Foundation.
The 15-member Chinese cultural and literary delegation also visited several sites of historical and archaeological significance within the Kathmandu Valley, including Patan Durbar Square.
The delegation had previously been welcomed by the Nepal Academy on Friday.
