2 injured in west Australian plane crash
Two men were injured after a light plane crashed near a small airfield in Western Australia (WA) on Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to reports that a single-engine light aircraft had crashed near a private airfield about 50 km north of the WA capital of Perth around 10:20 a.m. on Saturday.
Two men, one aged in his 60s and the other in his 30s, who were on board the aircraft received urgent medical care at the scene.
Local media reported that at least one of the men was transported to a Perth hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The incident triggered a major emergency response, with 12 vehicles, a rescue helicopter and five ambulance crews deployed to the scene.
